Mental Health First Aid U.S.-based Research Summary
There have been 31 peer-reviewed studies in the past 10 years. Studies of Adult Mental Health First Aid have found that individuals trained in the program show increased mental health literacy and confidence to help someone in distress. In addition, learners show a reduced stigma/increased empathy toward individuals with mental health challenges.

In-Person
Learners complete an 8-hour, instructor led private course.
Blended
Learners complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course, and participate in a 4.5 to 5.5 hour, instructor-led private course. This training can be delivered 100% virtually or in-person.
Upon completion of the course, participants receive a 3-year certification as Mental Health First Aiders from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
